Tim Ridley was born in 1963 in North London and then lived in various places in southern England before being a freelance photographer for 17 years in London. In 2007 he did a foundation course in Fine Art at the City Lit. And he is now starting his third year at Chelsea doing a BA in Fine Art, which involved a three month erasmus exchange in Berlin at UDK.

In May this year I will be performing 'Jography' which will consist of me running whilst drawing. This will take place around South and East London. I will post my routes and the resulting drawings on-line. In the lead up to 'Jography' I hope to stimulate a discussion about the differences between art and sport. This is especially interesting in the year of the London Olympics and in view of the cultural aspect of the games this year.
