I am very pleased to have been awarded a bursary for a mentoring programme by Cultivator. Based in Krowji, they are an organisation funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, Arts Council England and Cornwall Council who give grants to artists for creative busines development. The fruits of this programme are alredy appearing, and I feel that my approach to painting has become significantly more confident and informed. We have been looking particularly at Walter Sickert and his suggested rather than resolved paint handling.
