Shapes of Chapel Street

Very excited to have made a portrait of a well known resident of Chapel Street for this group exhibition at Daisy Laing's gallery. The curator there Kate Jones has asked artits whom have previously shown there to participate in a group show. 20th of November to the 5th of December 2018

With the private view this Friday the 9th of November, this will be my 4th show at Daisy laings. Using the prism of the 'cabinet of curiosities' I hope to re assert animals as central to life on this planet, not a freak show of grisly geegaws.

Got some good news. Dogmonkey has been accepted into Beep2018 up there in Swansea, from the 3rd of August at Elysium gallery, 16 College Street. PV on Friday the 3rd.

Diptychs and other miniatures @ Daisy Laings

With a PV on the 21st of November from 7pm till 9pm there will be a small exhibition of diptychs and miniatures, downstairs at Daisy laings on Chapel Street, Penzance. The pieces were made at my residency on Cape Cornwall this autumn.

'You were put in charge' Has made it into the Ing Discerning eye



My framed oil painting 'You were put in charge' has made it into the Ing discerning eye 2016 exhibition at the Mall galleries, London from Thursday 17 November until Sunday 27 November, between 10am and 5pm daily


Mr Foxy & Monkid @ the NOA Exhibition

Two paintings will be at the NOA 2016 at The City of London at Mercers’ Hall from the 27 October – 4 November with Free Admission. Mr Foxy & Monkid, will be for sale with 50% going to the NOA so this NFP exhibition and competition continues.


Humanimal PV @ Exeter Phoenix Cafe Bar


From the 15th of March to 23rd of April selected work from Humanimal will be at the Exeter Phoenix. The Private view will be on 6:30 the 15th of March at the cafe bar Exeter Phoenix, Bradninch Place, Gandy Street, Exeter, EX4 3LS.


Over 200 people have visited Humanimal

The response to Humanimal has been overwhelming, never less than 10 people have visited each day and that's in the teeth of some fierce winter gales. The Primary school children who contributed to the show came as a class today and bought with them a great energy which has left me feeling motivated to stage another humanimal show in 2016, maybe in an unusual venue in Penzance or Newlyn.

Humanimal is open

Humanimal is open. We had a great PV last night, over a 100 people came and we made some sales. Also people talked to me about animal welfare and how we will share the remaining habitats and resources we have here on earth. Please pop in if you are in Penzance.

My Arts Council England exhibition of drawing, painting and assemblage on the theme of our past and future relathionship with the animals will take place from the 4th till the 13th of December at the PZ gallery at 7 Coinagehall St, Penzance TR18 2BU, The private view will be from 6:30 pm on Friday the 4th.

Jesse Leroy Smith, Sam Bassett, Richard Ballinger, kate Walters, Ken Spooner and Michael Rees have been invited to contribute work, and Amanda Lorens and I will be making animations with St Mary's Primary school kids, which will form part of the exhibition.



Prize winner at The Open West

During the PV on Friday at The Wilson in Cheltenham, I was awarded the Gloucestershire University Prize for my diptych 'Monkid & Mr Foxy'. The exhibition runs till the 28th of June.


Arts Council 'Grants for the Arts' for Humanimal

The Arts Council have awarded me a grant to make a body of work, which will be entitled 'Humanimal' There will be an exhibition in Penzance, and some workshops with Primary school kids, around the question 'How will we share this planet with animals?'


The Creekside Open 2015

A film collaboration between Julia Manheim and me will be part of the Creekside Open 2015, 'Inside Out -2'  when things are around the wrong way.


The Open West 2015

I will have work in this exhibition at The Wilson in Cheltenham, 16th of May to the 28th of June, Clarence Street, Cheltenham, Glousester, GL50 3JT, I will be doing a performance at the Private view on 15th of May. As part of this project I will be involved in a week of education at Gloucester college, with some 1st year students. The work will be based on historical figures connected with the 12th centuary Llanthony Secunda Priory

I am going to submit a short video from my performance 'Party Run' this will possibly end up included in an exhibition in Stoke on Trent. As a performance artist i feel this will be a great opportunity to take my work outside the bubble of London.

The Argument Art V Poetry Exhibition

Katrina Naomi the poet and I will be putting "The Argument" up at the Stanza poetry festival in St Andrews from the 5th to the 10th of March 2014, I have never been to a poetry festival, but I know St Andrews quite well and I am looking forward to it


I took part in the Mid and Final exhibitions at 'The Wild Project' in Zdonov, The Czech Republic over a couple of weeks in August, organised by Alex Stevenson. We made some interesting inquiries into what the word wild means. I made two videos, Chair/Wils and 'The Miracle of Wildlife through the Lens'


Tonight is the Private View for the Pistols and Polinators event at The Albert, 1 Albert Rd, NW6 5DT 6 till 10, come alonfg for drinks, art and poetry.


I will be taking part in Downtime, a show curated by Paul O'Kane in the Ort Arts building in Birmingham.

The Argument Art V Poetry Exhibition
