Miniature oil paintings in antique frames made for exhibition in Baku, Azerbaijan as part of a NoCollective residency come to Daisy Laing Studios on Chapel Street Penzance. Kate Jones of Daisy Laing has kindly invited me to show these miniatures inspired by the depiction of animals in ‘Persian’ miniatures at her Chapel St gallery. Part of my continuing attempt to bring animals into the centre ground with painting, using found or up-cycled materials. I greatly appreciate the curatorial input from Kate, Amanda Lorens, Katrina Naomi and Hils Tranter. These pieces will be shown at a London venue in June.
